I like this phrase from this public service announcement: “Don’t make excuses, make the call.”

My symptoms were pain in back, shoulders, and arms, and fatigue. I made lots of excuses for my symptoms. You shouldn’t.

Please take 60 seconds to watch, and then pass it on.

  1. Hi Jen – I LOVE this awareness campaign! A 2009 survey suggests that only half of women indicated they would call 911 if they thought they were having a heart attack (and that’s down from 80% just five years ago!) Blog posts like this one will help to spread the word to MAKE THAT CALL to 911!

Keep up the great work here!
    cheers,
    C.

  2. Thank you for your comment Carolyn. It is so hard to really listen to our own bodies, especially when symptoms are vague, like “back pain” or “fatigue.” We just have to keep saying it over and over!
